The Backrooms With Guns [UPD🥳] Beginner Guide

Pick Classic, learn the listed controls, buy Bloxy Cola, and choose the next route.

First session

  1. Start in Classic — Classic is PvE with infinite health and ammo, so you can learn shops and corridors without rationing. Survival uses limited health and ammo, and ammo boxes and medkits can spawn as you explore. In Survival, Daniel's shop in The Lobby also has six ammo and health packs to the left of the counter that come back quickly. Those packs do not spawn there in Classic. PvP fights other players and keeps a separate kill count, so it will not unlock Daniel's quest items.
  2. Controls from the experience description — Sprint is Shift or thumbstick down. Crouch is Control, C, or Button B. Flashlight is F or D-pad up. H hides the interface. Hold the on-screen interaction prompt to take keys and pickups. A movement note also tells keyboard players to try Shift, and it frames that tip around an April Fools build. Level ! still disables sprint in its opening hallway, so the key does not work everywhere.
  3. The first purchase is Bloxy Cola — Get 10 kills in Classic or Survival. Talk to Daniel at his weapon shop in The Lobby and buy Bloxy Cola. Give it to the Suspicious Man, the upstairs Stormy Office NPC who starts the exit quest. That handoff is the One Step Closer step. The full key route, the 35% tape repair, and the Above Ground ending are in the escape guide. Do not spend the first session on the million-kill Golden Eagle.
  4. If your old guns are gone — Update 1.2 changed the save system. Visit the weapon shops and re-equip what you already owned. It is free, and your kills remain. Lower the graphics and turn on performance mode if a device stutters. The listing also warns about flashing lights.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

My weapons vanished after Update 1.2. Did I lose them?

No. The new save system hides weapons you owned before 1.2 until you visit the weapon shops and re-equip them. That reclaim is free, and your kill count stays saved.

Do PvP kills unlock Daniel's and Miguel's weapons?

No. PvP kill progress is separate from Classic and Survival. Shop milestones such as Bloxy Cola at 10 kills have to be earned in PvE.

Do I need the Teleport to Hub pass to enter the Hub?

No. The 299 Robux pass adds a button that teleports you to the Hub and to levels you have already visited. Walking into the Hub does not require the pass.

Are there working codes?

None are published in the experience description, and no code string was available to list. A redeem button has not been documented, so do not reuse codes from a different Backrooms game.
